Car Hire Finland

Spotlight on Helsinki

Capital of Finland and ‘daughter of the Baltic’, Helsinki stands proud as a city of culture and cafes as well as interesting buildings. Many buildings were rebuilt by the Russian tsars after the war in 1812 and this was heavily influenced by the city of St Petersburg. Alongside the grandeur, there are very modern buildings such as the ‘church in the rock’. You can visit Helsinki City Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum for a bit of culture. Also a must see, is the island of Suomenlinna with its fortress, it feels like an open air museum.
