Ankara is the capital and the 2nd largest city in Turkey. Two of the most well known attractions are the Anitkabir (museum and mausoleum of Ataturk) and the Atakule Tower, the highest building in the city. There are many museums to discover including the War of Independence Museum and Cer Modern. There are also archaeological remains in the city - you can visit the Roman Baths and the Temple of Augustus as well as the Roman Theatre and Citadel. Other buildings of note are the Kocatepe Mosque and Ankara Castle or you could shop at the covered markets.
