Bristol Guide

Bristol is an historic seaport, now home to the SS Great Britain which is a visitor attraction in the harbour.  One the city's most famous sons was John Cabot the explorer – his ship the Matthew, which he used to discover Newfoundland is also moored in the Bristol harbour and open to visitors.  Bristol also houses the famous Clifton suspension bridge, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and completed after his death in 1864, this is just outside the city and easily accessible with your car hire Bristol.
