Cagliari Airport Guide
Cagliari is mostly known for its sandy beaches, so spend a day relaxing at Poetto Beach. The city itself has many interesting buildings with a mix of the ancient, art deco and fascist design. The old town is called ‘Castello’ or castle, so this is a good place to start. See the Cathedral with its medieval façade, first built in 1159 and the Bastion of Santa Caterina, previously an old Dominican convent. Also look out for the Saint Remy Bastion and the Sanctuary of Bonaria as well as the Roman Ampitheatre. Compare the art deco designs of the palaces on Via Roma and the fascist design of Justice Court.
