Cadiz Guide
Cadiz is famed for its Carnaval, a chance for the city to celebrate before the start of Lent and is acknowledged to be the third biggest in the world after Rio and New Orleans. Usually held in February, the whole city downs tools to take part and several days and nights of celebration are accompanied by music, fireworks, food and drink. At other times of the year it’s the architecture and archaeology that draws the tourists with an impressive city wall and a fabulous cathedral from the tower of which you can look out over the entire city.
