Formentera Guide
On Formentera, it’s up to you to make your own entertainment. There are few cultural sights and most people spend their days on Europe’s closest thing to Caribbean beaches. You need to be aware, especially if travelling with family, that Formentera’s beaches are considered as nudist beaches so don’t be shocked! The waters off the coast are perfect for snorkelling and for scuba diving. The lack of industry and of tourism has meant that the seas remain clean attracting lots of colourful fish. If watery sports aren’t for you then hire a bicycle and make use of the tracks that criss-cross this nearly flat island.
Formentera Directions
Formentera has no airport but is virtually only a stone’s throw from the bigger island of Ibiza. Fly there – several budget airlines do, including easyJet, and catch the ferry to the island.
