Huesca Guide
Huesca is a city of contrasts, barely a large town, you’ll never find it crowded. It has some interesting architecture but a lot of it can be passed by very quickly. The best reason for staying in Huesca is to get out in the countryside for the Pyrenees are under an hour’s drive away and with them the ski resorts so popular in winter that morph into fabulous walking territory in summer. There, cool mountain air offers respite from the oppressive summer heat of Huesca.
Huesca Directions
Huesca’s nearest airport is just outside Zaragoza and although around an hour away, the route from the airport is an easy one following the E7 northeast. Whilst it’s an international airport, the only flight from the UK is Ryanair’s from Stansted.

If you’re holidaying on a shoestring, try the Aparthotel Oroel where rooms start from under twenty euros a night. A lot more upmarket, you’ll find the Barcelo Monasterio de Boltaña right up your street, it looks magnificent and the standards of service match the look of the hotel.
