Javea Guide
Javea is an interesting city to visit, on the Costa del Sol, it doesn’t have the tackiness that some of the Costa’s cities have and there’s plenty to do besides sunbathing. Of course, the sun and the beach is why most people travel to this part of Spain but if you want to avoid the masses that congregate on Arenal Beach there’s the quieter Grenadella Cove which is still within the city’s boundaries but is much more secluded and with a fabulous ruined castle backing the beach. If you want to get out in your hire car, try a visit to the Montgo which, as well as being a peculiarly shaped mountain is also the location of the caves that first sheltered the early inhabitants of Javea.

The coastal road, the E15 or Avenida del Sol links all of the main resorts and cities on the Costa del Sol including Alicante and Javea. Simply look for the signs on exiting the airport and follow it northeast for 45 minutes and you’ll be in Javea.
