You won’t be able to stay in Logrono without being tempted to try or at least find out a little more about Rioja. As well as getting the story from the locals who are proud of their product, you can also visit the Museo de La Rioja which explains the wine’s story in an imaginative way. Logrono Directions
Travellers to Logrono can fly to Logrono Agoncillo Airport but only from Madrid. If you want to use this route to the airport, only 11km from the city, you’ll have to take a connecting flight to Madrid first. To get to Logrono from the airport, take the small NA134 west to where it joins the A12 which then joins the LO20 which skirts the south of the city. If you want to fly into an international airport direct from the UK then you’ll have to use Bilbao Airport a hundred or so kilometres to the north where easyJet have routes from London and Manchester. The road journey is then south and east along the AP68.
