Motril Guide
Motril is all about the beach and there are several of them including one where you can completely strip off. The best one for families is the Playa Granada with kilometres of fine golden sand and a gently sloping beach. Whilst in Motril, try the local rum, a hangover from the days when sugar cane was grown here, the drink is still made in the city and is popular today.
Motril Directions
Granada Airport is mainly a domestic airport serving flights from Madrid although it has a flight from Paris Orly Airport. Travellers from the UK can choose to change at Orly or Madrid before continuing their journey, saving them the extra 25 minutes journey from Malaga Airport. Once in Granada they can hire a car and make the simple journey down the A44 or E902 to Motril.
