Salamanca Guide
Salamanca has much to be seen and you should begin, and probably end in the Plaza Mayor, considered to be the heart of the busy city. Take a look around the old parts of Salamanca and you’ll happen across the old and new cathedrals are built side by side despite a gap of four centuries between the two. Take a trip to the unusual 15th century House of Shells which probably needs no more explanation before crossing the near two thousand year old Roman Bridge over the Tormes River.
Salamanca Directions
Salamanca has its own regional airport found 13 km east of the city centre. It is only a small airport taking flights from Barcelona on the Iberian Peninsula. You can choose to fly to Barcelona before connecting to Salamanca or as an alternative; you can fly to Valladolid Airport with Ryanair from Stansted and hire a car for the hour long journey into Salamanca.
