Santander Airport Guide
The most important tourist attraction in the city is the Magdalena Palace, former summer residence of the Spanish royal family. It’s a beautiful building with fabulous gardens and is stuffed with antiques and art. Santander also has a gorgeous beach which attracts many. On summer days it’s hot enough to sunbathe despite the sea being the cold Atlantic Ocean. The old town, despite being almost totally destroyed in 1941, still has some interesting buildings to visit and some of the ruins of the more important buildings destroyed by the fire.
