Tenerife Airport Guide
There’s something for everyone in Tenerife; the young and young at heart will love the non-stop partying of the resorts of the south whilst those who see a quieter holiday should head to the lusher north with the island’s capital and the historic San Cristobal de La Laguna offering an insight into the island’s history. Mount Teide is a fascinating day’s visit with a cable car taking you up to the top of the often snow-capped peak. Don’t be tempted to walk up, other than using the official paths as it can be very dangerous because of the ground heat and volcanic gases. Elsewhere, the main draw for people is the beautiful beaches of imported sand to be enjoyed in a year round warm climate.
Tenerife Airport Directions
Tenerife has two airports, labelled north and south and serving those particular parts of the island. The southern airport is by far the busier and is accessible to most parts on the southern, eastern and western coasts simply by following the TF1 highway.
Tenerife Airport Parking
Car parking for over 800 cars is found around five minutes away from the terminal at the airport. There are also twelve spaces for people with mobility issues and contact points near them so they can call for assistance when they arrive.
Tenerife Airport Flight InformationAs you’d expect from a busy holiday airport there are dozens of flights from the UK. All the major tour operators have year round flights to the island whilst easyJet and Ryanair both offer low cost year-round flights from a selection of UK airports.
Hotels Near Tenerife Airport
Tenerife is jam packed with hotels and because of the sheer number there’s a wide range of options and prices. We like the Melia Costa Adeje hotel, which offers five star service and prices from 100 euros a night whilst in the north of the island, the Hotel Contemporaneo, whose name says it all, is less than half that price.
Tenerife Time Zone
Tenerife is on the same time as Greenwich Mean Time and located in the Western European Time Zone (GMT)
