Vigo Airport Guide
You may think that a big industrial city like Vigo would have little to tempt the tourist but nothing could be further from the truth. A good place to start discovering its treasures is in the Casco Vello, or old town, where narrow streets lined with medieval buildings take you a million miles away from the factories of the city. More up to date but no less interesting is the Naturnova Museum which has hands on exhibits dedicated to environmental issues. Art lovers will also enjoy the Museum of Contemporary Art which is considered to be one of Europe’s finest.
Vigo Airport Directions
The best way to get from the airport to the city is to take the AP9 south to the big roundabout before turning right along the Avenida de Madrid which will take you right into the centre.
Vigo Airport Parking
Vigo has gone a little over the top with parking, offering 2,500 spaces with 54 of the reserved for people with mobility issues. The parking is found in a new multi-storey block adjacent to the main terminal building. The car park is state of the art with number plate reading technology.
Vigo Airport Flight InformationVigto has many flights from across Spain and western Europe but just a single flight from the UK; Vueling’s flight from London Heathrow.
Hotels Near Vigo Airport
There are some fabulous hotels in Valladolid and they all seem to be such good value for money. We particularly like the Zenit Imperial which is housed in a former palace in the city and has retained its traditional atmosphere. Surprisingly it costs only 45 euros a night in peak season. Cheaper still and with luxury added is the Foxa Valladolid on the outskirts of the city and is under 40 euros a night; great when you consider it has an indoor pool.
Vigo Time Zone
