Canton Airport Guide
You can get a broad sweep of Akron’s history from several venues in the city. Hale Farm is a living museum where you can see what life was like in Akron in the 19th century. There you’ll see demonstrations of the early industries such as glass blowing, pottery, basket weaving and more. Hower House on the University of Akron campus is left as it was in Victorian days and was owned by one of the early rubber barons. There’s also the home of John Brown, the renowned abolitionist which has the story of his life and work told through exhibits and vignettes.
