Bangor’s attractions nearly all centre on cultural activities and a visit to the local tourist information office in the city will furnish you with details of concerts, theatre performances and more that are on during your stay.
There are a number of cultural festivals in the city including the huge American Folk Music Festival in August. Other attractions include the view from the Thomas Hill Standpipe over the city and much of Maine’s landscape.
