Birmingham Airport Guide
Birmingham has had a colourful history, not least during the human rights era of the sixties and seventies. Much of the history of that time is commemorated in several of the city’s museums including the Men’s Hall of Fame and the Civil Rights Institute which is next to the Kelly Ingram Memorial park.
Another slice of Birmingham’s history is served up in the Arlington Antebellum House. In existence long before the city, it has been pivotal in many of the historic events surrounding the city and you can find out about many of the less conspicuous events there from the knowledgeable staff.

Birmingham Airport Parking
There are over 5,000 parking spaces at Birmingham Airport, many of which are in a multi-storey facility next to the airport. As well as these, there is cheaper parking in a remote parking lot from which there’s a shuttle bus to the terminal. Try the cell phone parking where you can wait until called by the traveller before making a quick pick up outside the terminal.
Birmingham Airport Flight InformationBirmingham Airport is quite big but still has no flights from overseas. If you want to get into the city from Europe, you’ll need to fly to a major east coast airport such as Atlanta or New York and continue your journey with a connecting flight from there.
