Chandler Guide
As a city, Chandler isn’t too inspiring but it’s the unusual attractions around it that make it worthwhile visiting. That said, the city has a vibrant old town, recently restored to its former glory; a nice place to spend a leisurely afternoon looking around the little boutiques. This year the city celebrates its centenary and there are plenty of events to help it party in style. One of the annual events that draws hundreds of spectators is the Ostrich Festival which includes races, showing of ostriches, ostrich cuisine and more.
Chandler Directions
Although Phoenix Mesa Airport is slightly closer to Chandler than the Sky Harbor, international travellers would be better off choosing to use Sky Harbor as there are more direct international flights there. BA flies to Phoenix from Heathrow, the only route from Europe, but it means that UK travellers to Arizona are well served. From the airport take route 10 south turning east onto route 60 or 202 to get to the centre of Chandler.

Hotels Near Chandler Airport
Chandler is a good place to stay if you want to be able to visit Phoenix easily without staying in the big city. There are a number of good hotels which offer holiday hotel facilities. We like the Windmill Suites at the Chandler Fashion Center which will set you back around $50 a night or the Radisson Phoenix which comes in at around $30 a night; a bargain for a room in a chain hotel.
