Durango Airport Guide
In winter, Durango offers superb skiing facilities and none more so than Purgatory Mountain Resort. If you want the quality of Aspen without the high prices and attitude, then Purgatory is your place. In summer, try your hand at fly fishing on the Animas River. Plenty of companies offer to teach you this absorbing and relaxing sport. The surrounding countryside is spectacular, especially as you head towards ‘Four Corners’ where the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah meet. Finally, try some movie set spotting in the city itself as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Cliffhanger and City Slickers were all filmed there.
