Killeen Airport Guide
Killeen is not the kind of place you would visit on holiday unless you are visiting friends or family. Most people have a connection with the base and if you can get a pass to visit it you’ll find a fascinating military ‘city’ whose atmosphere is quite different. There’s a great museum dedicated to US cavalry over the centuries which is informative and up to date. Outside the base, Killeen is mainly known as a shopping destination with several malls and hundreds of small shops vying for the military dollar. Entertainment is good around the city but be careful in some areas where the military relax.
