Oakland Airport Guide
Despite the temptations of nearby San Francisco, you should spend at least a few days in Oakland seeing its sights. Begin with its most popular destination; Jack London Square. Named after the city’s most famous son, it was once the wharf area of Oakland but is now morphing into a shopping and entertainment centre. Go on board the USS Potomac, one of the most famous ships in the US Navy which was President Roosevelt’s private yacht and the place where the decisive meeting with Winston Churchill took place in the Second World War.
